Presented by the Mayfield-Graves Co. Parks Board & The Ice House For The Purchase District Fair

Theme: “Trotter”: A Harness-Racing Horse

Use your creative spark to make art whether it be coloring a harness racing horse, drawing a horse, writing poetry or short stories, layering mixed media or going for a 3D piece.

Students are invited to submit all sorts of art to be judged by the Ice House Gallery & Art Guild. The name of student, parent contact,  and title of piece need to be on the reverse side or attached.

PRIZES

All entrants will receive “The Story of Harness Racing” Coloring Book from the U.S. Trotting Association.

Selected pieces will be awarded a Purchase District Fair Ribbon and have the work on display at The Purchase District Fair (May 30th, June 2-6, August 7-8).

Best in Show Artists will “own” a winning horse during a trip to the Winner’s Circle at the Harness Races on Saturday, May 30th, and have their photo in The Mayfield Messenger with their horse & team members.

2020 Deadline: April 2nd.

Fair Rep (Kristin gravescountyfair@gmail.com) will pick up art for classes or it may be dropped off at the Graves Extension Office. Contest open to all 4th graders in Graves Co. regardless of school affiliation. Art becomes the property of The Purchase District Fair unless specifically requested for return at the time of entry.
